If you've got creativity and imagination you can use iStopMotion to create the same sort of movies (well, almost). The application uses stop motion and time lapse to create shot by shot sequences.
Easy to use, all you have to do is connect your camera, load in your shots and edit them in the iStopMotion interface.
The program features a great help menu and good guidance, making it the ideal tool to teach kids how to make videos.
You'll also become familiar with techniques such as blinking or onion skinning to make movements more visible, overlays and zooming. iStopMotion also lets you add a soundtrack to polish up your movie.
Once you're done editing, you'll be able to export the movie and watch in your favorite movie player. You can even print out your finished work as a little flip book.
The only downside of the application is that it sometimes lag. This can be due to the size of the videos you're working with.
Boinx iStopMotion is ideal to teach people how to make movies, and great fun to create your own animated skits.
